I'm honestly not surprised this wasn't popularized. Media doesn't have a habit of showcasing positivity within our politics. There's also the possibility that this was kept quiet in order to reduce the visibility of becoming more independent from China, from China.

This has been the standard for the last decade or more. Only bills that stay out of the public eye are bipartisan but there have been some every year. As soon as something from the legislation makes the news, it becomes polarized.

The problem with all this money that's being thrown around is the Cantillon effect. The big companies will find ways to use the money to further consolidate their businesses. Very little of the money will make its way to the bottom. After the Hedge Funds, Management and Shareholder divvy up the taxpayer's largesse, the average American gets very few crumbs. The US must get serious about anti-trust if they really want to advance against China.
