Major point missed in speaking of educated people in urban areas being more liberal -- the influence their college experience has on their worldviews. Colleges have become increasingly more agenda driven and more people have attended college over time.
Hey Nick! Thanks for the note -- I think you're right about colleges driving people to have more liberal worldviews, but I'm not totally sold about the "agenda" being the source of it. There is a good deal of social science out there that it's actually the act of meeting new people, moving to a new place, etc. that often drives more liberal worldviews, versus just the material they're being taught alone. Would be interested in any papers or articles you have to make your case, though!
