1. Political narrative i.e. catering to the base including Trump, Covid, China
2. Race - BLM, CRT, policing, etc.
3. Business bigness - Big Tech, Big Pharma, Big Banks etc.
4. Climate hysteria - end of world
5. Entertainment, Kardashians, Royals, sports etc
1. The reality is that Biden is in, Trump is out please ignore Trump. Covid is real, nobody knows the long term effects of the vaccines but since I'm over 50 I figure it is more likely to prolong my life than shorten it so I got both doses. Not sure what I'd do if I was under 30. America trust China at your peril. ROW trust either at your peril.
2. I believe the race pendulum has swing to far and will have to swing back towards the middle equilibrium. American blacks have had a history of being disadvantaged but reparations and anti-racism aren't the answers. Biden is moving the the right direction.
3. America has allowed too many businesses to acquire too many other businesses to the detriment of society. Time to break them up and more importantly stop the mergers. Biden seems to be trying. But somehow you have to get the corporate money out of politics and limit lobbyists to ever make this all work.
4. Climate seems to be a great topic. Between impending doom (that's been predicted forever) and remediation, it seems our media prefers Chicken Little. Lets face it, things WILL get WORSE before they get better so we should be talking about ways to manage forests to mitigate inevitable fires, solutions to inevitable floods etc. We cannot ask India, China and third world nations to forego using the cheap energy the first world used to get to the standard of living we have. So until we make cheaper alternatives we have to mitigate.
5. I still can't believe there is a market for this tripe.
Isaac I just finished your survey and missed the opportunity to ask you to evaluate the Paris Climate Treaty. I've seen data, which I have not verified, that China & India are classified as 3rd world countries enabling them to build new coal fired plants faster than we can shut down coal and natural gas fired plants. Please provide a data rich evaluation of the treaty. In California, we have commercials requesting we limit our power use after 3PM and to install smart thermostats that allow the grid operators to regulate our thermostats. This is the typical response from those who run California for our power and water shortages; conserve rather than implement solutions to increase supply. Thanks for the wonderful articles!!!!
The irony is that I live just outside Portland, Oregon, and our skies are a brilliant clear blue, so far. As for reintroducing species into spaces where they’ve been hunted out of existence (I don’t know the story of your seals), I strongly recommend American Wolf about the reintroduction of wolves into Yellowstone. It reminds me that some human pleasures like abundant elk for hunters may be damaging to the environment. Sharks may be good for the ocean ecosystem of New England while being bad for tourism. Just a thought from someone who is in no way a wildlife biologist.
Today's press priorities seem to be:

2. Race - BLM, CRT, policing, etc.
3. Business bigness - Big Tech, Big Pharma, Big Banks etc.
4. Climate hysteria - end of world

I'd love to see Tangle regularly feature environmental/climate stories, including the politics around those issues.
