Just me, or did we gloss over the apparently "embarrassing" reaction from BLM 'til it was time to circle back to it? I felt a little lost at that, but somehow wasn't surprised that Cuba's head-honchos might harbour - and encourage - such racist views as those explored.
I am surprised that 66% of the 400 Cuban-Americans in Florida said they opposed a return to Obama-era normalization of relations with Cuba. I don't understand. I thought they would have the opposite opinion. Obviously, I need to be enlightened. Can you help?
Not trying to be cynical here, but in cases like this it often seems like the people most in favor of something like normalization are fairly removed from the actual situation, while the Cuban-Americans polled are probably some of the people most familiar with the regime and its harm, and therefore are the most in favor of pressuring it to end, and the least in favor of legitimizing it. I'm not sure though, of course.
