Removing qualified immunity will help make a cop or the force pay for wrongdoing. But there also has to be two other factors to be considered.
1. How do you weed out frivolous lawsuits that take away time and resources from the police? Do you make plaintiffs and their lawyers pay for the defense if the officer/force is found to be not guilty of an offence?
2. How do you make the union and other officers responsible for making sure cops that break the law are dealt with? Do we make the police buy "malpractise insurance" with premiums based on department performance and individual records?
And to anonymous in Sante Fe I pose the question to him of why do Democrats still believe that Trump colluded with Biden? Why did they believe that Trump was lying about Covid coming from a lab in Wuhan etc. etc. The answer is for both the Republican and Dems believing is "because they want to believe"!
The right listens to Fox and other RW outlets to reinforce their beliefs and show them why the other side is bad. The left does the same with CNN and MSNBC etc. That's why we're here at "Tangle".
