I agree that this bill is way too far, but I don't know why we don't require a doctor's prescription and visit to a psychologist first. Isn't that sensible?
There's a lot of hysteria about this that feels very reminiscent of 80s gay panic. Then gay people started coming out, and people realized that gay people weren't lizard people but family, friends and co-workers.
I fear trans people are the new minority to pick on. I find listening to trans voices is very helplful. It also helps to listen to other cultures and religions who have been way ahead of the curve in acknowledging gender isn't a simple binary.
